The Clinical Education and Research Unit at the Nyamata Level 2 Teaching Hospital serves as a clinical training and research in Rwanda. The Unit mandated to coordinate and strengthen academic and Medical research while ensuring excellence in the training of healthcare professionals. It promotes a safe, patient-centered clinical learning environment and ensures that all research activities comply with ethical standards, regulations, and best practices.

Key responsibilities include fostering research engagement among staff, overseeing research governance and ethics, supporting continuous professional development, and facilitating the dissemination of research outcomes to influence policy and practice.
