INTERNSHIP

Admission requirements: refer to the policy no …. on clinical placement:

The student’s practical kit:

A. Student’s practical kit for clinical students

  • Clinical coat or scrub uniform

  • Stethoscope

  • Examination torch (where applicable)

  • Measuring tapes (where applicable)

  • Notebook

  • A hand sanitizer (Alcohol gel)

B. Specific for nursing Students:

In addition to the above items nurse students are required to bring

  • A Digital Thermometer,

  • A portable sphygmomanometer.

  • A watch

*Others items may be necessary according to the discipline and or the specific placement.

Administrative Requirement for Individual

  1. Application letter addressed to the Director General of Nyamata Level 2 Teaching Hospital

  2. Copy of passport for foreigners / Id for Local students

  3. Recommendation letter signed by dean/ Leadership of University /Institution

  4. Valid vaccination Certificate for Hepatitis B

  5. Personal health insurance coverage during study period

  6. Clear goals for experiences and Objectives of placement (why and what do you want to study here) (APPLICATION FORM)

Administrative Requirement for Institution 

  1. Application letter addressed to the Director General of Nyamata Level 2 Teaching Hospital

  2. Clear goals for experiences/ Objectives of placement

  3. List of Students

  4. Evaluation form

  5. Schedule of Supervision
